I'm surprised they didn't find the Rega R1 bright. My friend found them so bright when we auditioned them that it gave him a headache. This was in a treated room may I add.

$999 NZD (New Zealand) = $765 USD by today's rate. Still high as they list around $479 in the States.

Price is New Zealand Dollars (NZD), at todays current exchange rate comes out to US$765.00 or CAD$787.00. Taking in consideration freight, taxes, and custom duties, price sounds about right for New Zealand.

And they weren't too kind to Paradigm. I love my minis! But the price...sheeesh. I could have gotten almost three pair for $900.00!

Big time!!! The thing is that I have the same opinion, but at least I tell people to audition them as they might be what they are looking for HT. Love those Kiwis.

Seems very pricey, doesn't it. I guess thats part of the cost of living in paradise. Man I'd love to explore that country.

Man those Kef's are some piece of work. Very beautiful. The PSB's are quite the piece of eyecandy as well.

Have to agree for the most part on the commentary regarding the Paradigm's, I too felt the bass a bit boomy on the mini-monitors. I'm not too sure I agree with the commentary regarding dynamics of it though other then that.
