From an Audioholic standpoint, there wasn't a hell of a lot to appreciate about the movie... the PQ was a bit washed out (on purpose to make the film look older) and the SQ in the theater was crap..... but the STORY was absolutely amazing!!! It was so intense... it had me totally wrapped in for the entire 2 hours. I HIGHLY recommend going to see. It's one of the few movies that I've seen lately that was actually worth the $11 ticket.

You liked the movie,really

I hated it,i thought the plot was thin & the story moved at a snail crawl,i thought the story line was a bit confusing & it was impossible for me to connect with any of the actors, the ending wasnt as good as it should been either.

For me it was a real bore but my wife enjoyed it.

Great movie. I loved all of the out of sequence time periods. This isn't the sort of movie that I usually like very much but I found myself riveted to it right up to the end. There isn't much technical virtue in the sound or image, but that isn't the reason to see the movie.

I read this book 2 or 3 years back. It was my first McEwan novel and I was hooked. He is such a powerful writer you don't just feel the book, it actually starts to give off texture and atmosphere. Almost as if the memory could supplant my own.

I'll wait for the dvd, but I'm glad to hear the movie is at least nearly as enthralling as the book for some.
