Buying a satellite receiver ???

Hi,

I just got dish network installed. I noticed that the receiver they gave me doesn't have a digital audio out or component video out.

Can I buy a different satellite receiver from ebay? I think they're also charging me $5 a month rent for the receiver (included in the package deal). I've seen receivers on ebay just like mine going for $10.

If I buy a new receiver from ebay...what do I need to do so that it can receive the satellite signal? What do the cards do?

I have the Dish DVR 508, and it has both digital optical out and s-video out.

Call them up and ask them to be sure, but . .

I believe that if you buy your own, you won't have to pay th 5 buck fee.
