One of the more sensible, well meaning letters-to-editor that I've read.

Yes, thanks. That is a great read indeed, but am unclear about when Hardesty's original letter was published and the connection to Audioperfection.

Mark one up for the good guys! Great read.

Anyone with a zillion dollars want to buy a Wilson MAXX ... or a bridge? ;)

I think someone needs to give WmAx a grant so he can build his speakers, and purify this sick business.

Nothing surprising there. Stereophile has been full of it (and itself) since the first issue.

I'm pretty sure Richard Hardesty IS Audioperfectionist.

I think A/H would do well to get him on board.
He highly rates listening to acoustic instruments and the natural human voice against what comes out of a speaker.

A wise, wise person.

I'm curious to see the edited version, that ended up in Stereophile mag.
Wonder if there was a reply?

I see good ole Wes Phillips is still writing for Stereophile. He must have very attuned ears to hear speaker cables exhibit electrical resonance :)

Eh, I've been reading Stereophile Loudspeaker reviews for a while now. Here is my technique:

1st page:
Read name of speaker, and look at pretty pictures.

3rd page:
see how bloody much the speaker costs

4th page:
look at how the speaker performs.

Stereophile actually posts a fair number of measurements, so I read through those. Not the comments about the measurements, but the measurements. Make my own opinions of them.

Sofar I haven't been happy with anything on there. Happiest with the Thiel Speakers, but there is no information on the newest biggest of those.

His hearing is trumped only by the vividness of his imagination.

Certainly his mind certainly is well attuned to imaginations. Perhaps he should take up writing for Hollywood:D Maybe his movies would be better:D
