While I was watching the aweful outcome of the game; I went ahead and wall mounted my bedroom plasma and relocated the gear inside the chest. I was going to add some in-ceilings but now I am considering getting a AVR for the bedroom and using the Omni-sats.

Very nice. I wish that I was as motivated as you. I would have thought about mounting the plasma for years, but probably would never actually get around to it. :)

lol...it takes about 30 minutes. I spent way more time talking "her" into letting me cut a hole in the dresser.

Greg, a question for you. Does your wall mount allow you to raise the TV up on the wall a bit more? I ask because I was wondering if you would want to put a center channel on top of the dresser if you go the AVR route. I'm likely misunderstanding the comment about Omnisats (I'm not too familiar with those speakers).

I think you'll be happy with the Omnisats!

Can't you see the tears of joy rolling off my face?:D
It's not as sweet only because we lost to Colorado the week before, but we'll take that win over Texas any day.:D

So your way of coping with the Texas loss is by spending more money for an AVR? You are really bad!
Don't tell me, Onkyo 805?

If I can patch the drywall, texture, touch up paint, and mount new brackets for wood blinds in 4 weeks you can get a TV mounted in less than a few years. :D I spent the day wiring my new dimmers but do you think I could actually finish the job and mount the wall plate over them? Nope...I need to mess with positioning them so the plate fits over them nicely and that's a job for another day.

You give me way too much credit. :) I'm happy that you got those dimmers put into place. Perhaps you'll get those plates over them by the time that you rejoin society and buy a TV. :D

As for me, I think that I need to hire Greg to put in some wall plates for speaker jacks and hire David 2 Trees to paint the interior of my house. If I can find a good person here to do flooring, then I'll be all set. Now, if I can only talk Gene into pretending that the next Audioholics annual event is at my house, I might just get them all here...

Adam,

It will be a very simple 2.1 set up so I didnt need room for the center. She wants something a little better than the clock radio to listen to as she gets ready in the mornings (or when ever) I am looking at Orbs and Omnisats and then I will use some cheap, small sub.

Thank you! It was great. Both teams played great. OU is just better.:)

But was Greg really watching the game or was he thinking about re-arranging his plasma the whole time?

Yeah, you're lucky Oklahoma does not have an NFL team!:)

Prediction: Cowboys vs Patriots in Superbowl: Patriots win. Sorry.:D

What kind of Cowboys fan are you anyway?
You were supposed to say the Cowboys will kick the Patriots butts next week and in the Superbowl!
However, I will be cheering for the Patriots because their head coach is a football genius, not a cheater, but a genius.
