VGA to Component

Im looking at getting a new Dell Inspirion Laptop and would like to run it thru my Panasonic TH-PX50U. It has no HDMI out so i was wondering if i could use the VGA out and convert it to Component to get a High Def picture on my TV. The only other option is S-video :( I have found the cable to do it but I have read that it works on some TV's and not on others. Thanks for any help you can give.

Check your TV first. Mine has a VGA port. Also if your laptop has a DVI video output you can get a DVI to HDMI cable for the best video quality.

Otherwise you can get a VGA to component video cable for cheap from monoprice.
