Amazon and Microsoft are joining forces to help get more content on HD DVD not only that they are digging into their deep pockets to do this. I wonder what indie films they will choose and if Sony will do anything about it.

I wonder if the price drop on PS3 is spurring this on? Still $499 is still too high in my opinion. Now if they drop it to $350 I'll get one. Otherwise, I'll wait to see them drop it again around Christmas.

This happened a bit before the PS3 price drop. I think this move was actually a reaction to the whole Blockbuster dropped HD DVD as the two coincided.

I hope everyone rejects this and this format war dies a quiet little death like SuperBit.

I love superbit discs, DTS audio and no stupid extras to waste disc space.
