I just returned from Disney World recently, and I cant resist to comment on the many theaters in WDW, and the incredible sound quality they achieve!!

Wow!!

I avoid going OUT to the movies at the local multi-plex because I'm always disappointed with the sound quality. I am even left disappointed in some Imax theaters(Imaxes are definitely not all created equal), a but Disney always impresses in dramatic fashion. They definitely spare no expense when building their theaters!!!!

The Philharmagic, in particular, in the Magic Kingdom left me grinning from ear to ear....LOL Just be sure to sit in the front-3rd of the theater because it sounds best up towards the front. WDW always reminds me that good sound is possible in large public theaters. I thought all the Disney theaters sounded excellent, but the Philharmagic theater in particular had some truly amazing LFE content as well.

Hi, I live in Orlando and my wife works for Disney. That Philharmagic does have a great sound system. When I was in the park one day I was able to find out that the power amps are all Crown, though I don't know what models, I assume their Itechs. I just installed a new Crown XTI-2000 power amp in my home stereo and am very impressed with the sound quality. It blows my Onkyo M504 power amp away especially on the low end.

Came down to "Did-nah Wurl" and didn't even say HI

Did you pick up a Florida Gators t-shirt while you were down? :p
