Hi: my builder is finishing the HT in my basement. I purchased the Axiom QS4 speakers for my rear and side surrounds. I have a 19X13 room with two rows of seating. Where is the best place to put these speakers. Here are my options I think
Should I hang them from the ceiling and point them to the center of the rear row?
or
Should I mount them on the side and rear walls?
or
Should I mount them on a bracket on the side and rear walls and have the ability to turn them towards the center of rear row?

TIA
Ray

RMA,
Read one of the Dolby speaker setup articles and adapt for your room. The surrounds are normally 2-3' above the listening position. The (Main) Surrounds are on the sides of the listening position and Suround Backs are behind the listening position.

The Axiom QS type speakers are a quad pole designe to provide a disperse surround field. You don't have to point them directly at the listener and they should be more forgiving with placement. For ease of wiring and mounting I would utilize the keyhole slots to hang each speaker on the appropriate wall. You should use a drywall anchor if you are not mounting to a stud location.

Sides - to the sides between the two rows or maybe skewed toward the front row
Rears - I'd go 5'-6' apart
