Rambo 2 was also after VietNam, way after to get the POWs.

From the trailers it looks like 4 is also in South East Asia?

Yes, but he sure looks 20 years older. That face is terrible as the rest of his body. Maybe that is why he had all those pills in Australia?

He still looks ripped. I have Rocky 6, and he was CUT for that film. He actually trains really hard for his roles.

I wonder why on earth he copped out to the overdone gore? It's almost like a B-movie right from the get-go with the exploding guts and stuff...

Clint,

What you been smoking? :)

No way is that overdone. It is realistic and more so than all the others. It looks awesome. WOW!

+1, people have become used to the 'comical' violence of movies where people can get shot, fall over, and die without a drop of blood. Then when movies like this or A History Of Violence come out people think they are over-the-top, when they are actually subdued from reality so people don't leave the theater. (example: that guy getting his throat removed...... everybody else within 10 feet would be covered in arterial spray, movie guy just drips a little and falls down).

Couple others, Prince George! That's aways up there. I guess no face to face meets will be happening.

I totally agree with your sentiment. The previous movies could stand on their own merit without the addition of unnecessary gore. In fact, in first installment, the death count added up to a whopping ZERO!! (unless you imagined somebody was sitting in that parked car that exploded along the roadway)

The previous movies had enough content as to make such blood/guts display unnecessary. It sounds like now......... the movies have no content, so they've converted Rambo into a plot-less gorefest. IN FB2, he killed plenty of bad guys, but not in a graphic manner.(save for the guy in the canyon who had his head blown off by the arrow explosive;) )

The video was pulled from U-tube, so I didnt get to view it, but if what you guys are saying is true.................. they've sold themselves out. When Rambo becomes about the blood & guts, then expect very little content worthy of mention.

Dont get me wrong because I watch the occasional slasher flick, but my point being........ the Rambo franchise shouldn't be one of them.

If I want a gorefest...... I'll watch 300:)

PS.... I cant wait until the release of Rambo 5.

I can see the plot now.....

Rambo is a resident at an 'evil' veterans nursing home that abuses and steals from it's soldier residents. Using only a cane and his 3 'Rambo Knives', (ya know, he still has the little knife from the first movie, the medium sized one from the 2nd movie, and the huge one from the 3rd movie)...... he then takes on and brings down the crooked management, he single handedly disables a small army of crooked 300lb orderlies, and Rambo frees his veteran comrades from an oppressive nursing home hell!!

(It's of no coincidence that several of those residents are the very same men he freed from the prison camp in First Blood 2)

This movie looks awsome, I can't wait to go see it. The more gore the better!!! But hopefully they can throw a decent plot line in there too.

I've changed my tune regarding this movie. I'll probably buy it on the TUE of it's BD-release.
