What is a PC IN connection on a HDTV and what resolution will it support? The only HDTV I have played with so far was a Westinghouse 42 and I used a DVI connector on that to hook it to a laptop. But I was looking at the specs for a Samsung HLT5687S and it had PC IN listed and I am not sure what that is.

Most likely 'PC In' is a VGA connection as that is still the most common video out connection on a graphics card.

The manual for the TV often lists the resolutions it will support at the pc input.

Yep, it's just your everyday VGA input.

My Samsung HL-R5067W's optimum PC input setting is 1024x768 @ 60 Hz.
