Ok, one of the local big box stores had the Pioneer Elite 50" plasma on sale for 2586.00. Well I finally got the cash together and went down to by the set when....yeap you guessed it back to the original 3299.00 price tag. So I have 2500 to spend what would be a comparable 50" set to the pioneer elite?

I just bought the 1140HD Elite PRO from Abe's of Maine for 2946 shipped, and that included a wall mount and delivery into the room where I was going to hang it. Check out cnet shopper and see what they're going for right now.
Bryan...I was very happy with this online purchase...

Anyone use butterfly photo? They seem to have the cheapest price.

Razor,
Go back to the Big box store and ask them to match their recent sale price. I bet they would be happy to sell you one along with the extended warranty, monster cables, new speaker systems, etc.

I already went back and they would not go lower than 3150.00.

I'm sure you'll be happy with their customer service: my wife has purchased several lenses from them (35 mm camers stuff-just as touchy to rough handling, just smaller) with no problems. I actually spoke with a live, human being who was quite nice (despite trynig to sell me Monster Cables for it).
Bryan...if I knew where my camera was I'd post a picture of the setup and mount...
