Hi, i recently received a gift from my cousin in germany which is a Jamo E650, a floorstander with two 6 1/2 drivers. It sounds ok to me but are there members in this forum that has a similar speaker who could actually comment on these?

Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a Jamo speaker switch box, excellent craftsmanship. If their speakers are built to the same standards, you made out well.

Hi..I have installed many Jamo's in my days as an installer...in wall mostly but free standing as well...I never had a problem with them...they are a wonderful sounding speaker. the E855 were GREAT sounding peakers. I havent yet heard the E650's but here is some ideas....

1) check your speaker placement
2) the E855 had isolation spikes...you might want to get a set
3) check the placement...yes i already know I said that
4) check the levels on your reciever....I set mine at 0 and the check placement and then change the level
5) make sure they are wired correctly...not out of phase.

Hope that helps

Hi Illuminatti and others,
I am planning to get a Jamo E670/E850. Please let me know whether it is good /worthwhile to buy? Any problem faced so far?

I'm looking for a clear sound speaker.

I have installed the E850 for a client and they sounded great, even in a large open room with wood floors, lot's of windows and nothing on the walls.

Hi Tonton,

Ive been using my Jamo E650 for more than 6 months now and no evident weakness yet. Im a 70%HT and 30% Audio listening and so far my E650 have surpassed my expectations. If youre an HT user, you will never go wrong with a Jamo. The highs are evident, the mids are clear and the bass is fine. Although since i am an HT user, the bass was taken cared of by an M&K MX 125.

Jamo is not popular in this forum as well as in the audio/video industry not because their speaker sucks but because the company does not spend so much on advertising like the others. But i can assure you that you wouldnt go wrong if you will use it in your HT set-up.

Btw, i paired my E650 with a JM Lab Chorus Center powered by a Denon 1604 and the chemistry is quite astounding!

You have really steer up my desire to get Jamo already. Would my Yamaha RV-X550 receiver compatible with Jamo E670? Please advise.

Certainly!

Yamaha manufactures one of the best receivers (especially in HT) in the industry. They have poured so much investment into DSP processing and a lot of owners in this forum can attest to that.

I have just bought my Yamaha RX-V550 + NS-P436 (6.1 speaker). I am planning to get this Jamo E670,

My qs:
1) tell me whether this combo is good or not (compatible?)
2) any other feedback about E670?
