View Full Version : ARE YOU HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CERTAIN DVDs?

Sony announced that their copy-right protection system known as ARccOS has caused glitches in the following movies: Casino Royale, The Pursuit Of Happyness and Stranger Than Fiction. ARccOS has also had campatability problems with Toshiba, Harmon and Sony players.

Call Sony at their customer service number and they'll replace your defective disk. The number is: 800-860-2878

Never had any problems... but you could always just rip the disc and burn it dvd to remove the copy protection, but of course you still shouldn't have to do that just to enjoy the movie that you purchased.

Yes, they have been discussed on one other thread.;)

Another movie with this problem is the new Rocky. This only happens with select players from the manufacturers that you listed. I have had no problems playing this movies back on my Toshiba, but it is fairly dated.

Oppo would likely play anything you throw at it.;)

I knew of the other thread but I posted this more as a way to reach Sony easier without going thru the other thread's convoluted postings.

True, as I have wathced three of the four listed on my 981 with no problems;) :D
