I would like some suggestions for Great subwoofer sounding dvd's?
I have quite a few now, but I'm always looking for more!
For example I put on Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow! man the bass on that movie is awesome...one of the best for sub demos.
Iron Giant is another...anyway list your favorites here so I can see what I might be missing.
Thanks
Rob :)

Didn't we just have a thread on this last week? And the week before that and and the week before that and so on. If members want to create new threads on this topic other members want to respond, then certainly do so. Just know that the information on this is already here in abundance.
Oh yeah, for me it's the opening segment of U-571.

I'd suggest you broaden your "demo horizons" to include some CD's or SACD's that display what tightly integrated deep bass can do for music. I'm a classical music listener, so I like organ music. Other good demo pieces include the Verdi Requiem (Telarc, SHaw--beginning of Dies Irae with massive bass drum WHOMP'S); Rachmanininoff Symphonic Dances, Copland Fanfare for the Common Man, Mussorgsky Pictures (Oue, Minnesota, Reference Recordings--these are 3 different CD's).
But staying with DVD's, the following list of DVD demo tracks includes waterfall plots showing what frequencies you get, and when during the track:

You can also do a search here, as this has been covered before more than once.

So true, there are a plethora of threads about this subject. But I can't resist :D
Try Master and Commander, first attack of of the Acheron. Or the final battle. Woof (no pun intended)!
Or DTS Demo disk #9, the Jurassic Lunch track (track 13? I'm doing this from memory).
Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, the Charge of the Rohirrim at the Battle of Pelennor Fields. If you have the right sub setup, this turns a standard (if unconventional) cavalry scene into a religious experience.
You can also check out the site of Those Who Must Not Be Named (look at the sub in my sig) for an exhaustive list.

In the OP defense, those threads would probably be out of date....
LOTR:EEs
U571
Cars
The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Xmen Trilogy
Star Wars 1-3
War of the Worlds
Casino Royal
Team America
Batman Begins
King Kong
Doom
Ice age: Both
Lots of movies, any action movie will have some bass.
