My current tv is on the fritz and I am planning to upgrade to an LCD. I've been looking at what Toshiba has to offer as my main tv is a Toshiba and I have been very happy with it. Im trying to find a 27" widescreen capable of at least 720P. And my price range is between 500 and 750. Since this is a bedroom tv and not for my theater it doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles but HDMI would be nice.

Any help is appreciated,

Luke

I bought the 32HL66 from them in October and am still as happy as a clam at high tide. I paid $100 more then but, hey, that's what this hobby is all about. The longer you wait, the cheaper the goods become.

FWIW, the one I bought has a tuner built in. Many don't. The first one for $550 doesn't, I believe.

If you're planning to go with cable, satellite, or something else that requires a set top box, then a tuner isn't needed. If you want to get free OTA analog or digital/HD TV , they are a must.

If I might be so bold, may I suggest you go for the 32" 32HL66. Not only is it in/near your budget, that extra few inches will be appreciated big time AND it's good for 1080i.

For that much money you could even pick up a 32" from Visio.

I agree with the major. You can pick up a 32" Vizo for under $600 or a 37" for under $800. Both have dual HDMI inputs. I chose the 37" for my bedroom and found that the settings avsfourms members suggested worked pretty well.
