Surround Speaker Positioning

My HT under development is 26'x14.5'x7.5', it's an attic room and the ceiling of it follows the rafters of the roof, until it's roughly 7.5' high, and then the ceiling is straight across.
The walls where the surrounds will be are about 4.5' high, which basically puts the surrounds at a seated ear level or lower.
Any suggestions on placement, or just live with it since I really don't have any options?
