I'm looking for small in wall or on wall main and center speakers to replace my soon to be posted for sale Linn Audio 5120 and 5140 mains and center.

Any small speakers (8'' or smaller in total size) with range out there or am I dreaming?

I'm moving to small speakers due to a pending move.

Thanks for any recommendations in advance.

Budget - depends on what I get for the Linn's once they are posted (expected 1200-1400 mains, 600-800 center).

I haven't heard these specifically but I own other axiom products and give them 2 thumbs up.

http://axiomaudio.com/wallspeakerw22_main.html (W22)

Seems to be the same as the m22's without the box.
1" tweeter
dual 5.25" woofer
Width = 4.3125"
Height = 13.875"
$660/pair

Again, same as vp150 centerchannel.
Dual 1" tweeter
3 5.25" woofers
$500 center

Can you do any work yourself?

If so, buy 5 of these at $390 a pair and be in heaven.

Thats if you can go with an overall depth around 4", in a 5l box they can play to the 80s and are fantastic speakers.

If that depth is too much:

4l at about 2" dept will get you down to 100hz and these play all the way upto 30khz!!

With a good sub you would have a full range system that takes up almost no space at all.

I have written a review of my Jordan full range in the review thread, mine are in a sealed 5.2l enclosure and I am using the bigger 4.5" model, not the 2"

Not sure how much room I'll have in the ceiling but will keep these in mind. Who sells them in the U.S. and are they in walls or drivers only needing cicuitry?

These look good but are too big... looking at satelite size...

Thanks.

They are drivers only, but they are full range and wouldnt need any crossovers, just your plate and maybe a small fibreglass enclosure behind them.

Mine are in a 5L sealed box and can play to 80hz...not particularly loud, but they truly cover the full range.

My box is 4" deep internal so they would definitely work in ceiling, but probably not in wall.

markaudio.com is the authorized dealer, they are in hong kong but excellent to deal with and once shipped took 2 days to get from China to my door in Atlanta and the Post Office delivered them on a Sunday!!

Shipping is included in the cost.
