Hello All:

I'm looking for an audio/video rack that may not be "traditional":

My dad has a 60" Sony with the standard accessories (receiver, DVD, etc...). I'm thinking of a setup which will eliminate the need for him to keep bending and kneeling to load discs, change settings and the like.

Has anyone ever come across a setup with A/V shelves running side by side just above the TV? I'm thinking about say "3" shelves in a single (or double) row being supported over the TV by metal or wood supports (not bookcases due to space considerations).

Thanks!

There are plenty of "Audio Stands" which are about 4' high that you could set beside the TV to hold all of the A/V gear.

Another idea would be one of these DVD mega changers which hold 2-300 DVDs or CDs. You wouldn't have to worry about loading discs unless you rented a movie.
