I'm looking to replace my Cambridge FPS2000 with a better speaker system for my computer. I will be using the speakers mostly for music and am unsure whether to purchase a 2.1 system, or a 5.1 system. I'm looking to spend $250 and they will be set up in a 10' x 12' office.
The 2 systems I've been considering is the Swans M200 or the Logitech Z-5300E or Z-5500. Any recommendations?

Klipsch's Promedia 2.1 is about $250 I think.

Altec Lansing makes excellent stuff for a lot cheaper, too. A 5.1 from them shouldn't run you more than $100 to $150 I'd assume and they are great.

I have a set of Logitech Z-580 for my computer and Z-680s for my HT and they are prure greatness. I would get a set of Logitech's if you have the money.

The Klipsch Promedia 2.1s are close to about 130-140$ now.

And the Klipsch iFi (around $200) would be a really nice choice for music. The 3.5" midrange satellites have a -3db point at 113hz, so you don't have as much of the "midrange hole" at the crossover range as you normally get with 3" or smaller sub-sat systems.
