I thought Evilkat was on a holding pattern to see which format would "win."

I am voting for Blu-Ray again, they got off to a bad start but they have rebounded, at least I think they have. If the stats are right "80% of PS3 owners buy Blu-Ray movies with them" and if they reported sales of 1.8 million units, well I don't know if that many HD-DVD players have been sold total, though I could be very wrong about that. If I remember people weren't lined up outside of Best Buy to get the Toshiba HD-A1.:D

I have been meaning to ask, who is Nielsen?

I am on a holding pattern till someone 'wins'....but don't ask me to point out where the finish line is at!! If ever two movies could compel me to buy into a HiDef video solution, then those two trailers would be the ones, assuming the movies live up to the hype of the trailers :D
Even then, I would still wait till one format or the other has a 'clear-cut advantage' before I opt to go for one or the other. And if things keep up at their current pace according to my astrological calculations, it would seem that BD will end up winning the race =3

Nielsen as in Nielsen Ratings for tv, they do that kind of stuff for marketing.

So his vote is in favor of Blu-Ray then?

This summer Sony is planning a $500 player. With all the savings we saved you instead of spending it on tweaks, you guys can buy both formats and enjoy this summer, not next year or beyond:D
