Looking for somebody with this combo.
Blue Ray player.
Receiver that does 5.1.
Unforgiven BR movie.
I have this combo and the disc says DD 5.1 but when I play the movie I only show two channel on my 2500. I went through the setup several times with the same result. If anybody else has a similar setup would you play it and let me know what you get. One of the reasons for BR is it's sound quality and I'm not getting 5.1. Unfortunately it's the only BR disc I have. Just bought the
PS3 this weekend.

I think you may need to get another BR disc to see if that works or you have a setup issue, somehow. Does a regular DVD plays audio properly?

It sure sounds like a setup issue to me. If you are using digital coax or optical or HDMI but only get 2 channels then the setup in the player is incorrect. You want the player set to output 'bitstream' but it sounds like it is set to output PCM.

Well found the problem. I had picked bitstreem under the HDMI audio and I am not using HDMI audio I'm using optical.
