How to set levels when bi-amping

I am using an Adcom 2535 and an NAD 2100 to bi-amp them.
I know I can do by ear and adjust bias as needed for taste and recording but...
Is there a &quot;correct&quot; method for setting SPL levels with Radio Shack meter to balance the sub and panel sections ?
When I tried setting with test tone and have both at 75db the bass is WAY too high...

<font color='#000000'>I have always set the level of my subwoofer by ear, though we used to calibrate everything to 82dB (even the subs) in the studios where I worked. However, in my experience watching DVDs, the subs are never the same.

And I usually lower the subs (using the receiver) for music, and then raise them for movies.
