EV 36IN WOOFER 70,s

Hello back in the 70,s i had a nice system.but as always thier were a few thing,s i couldn,t afford.jbl speaker,s for 1. but i did get the bose 1801 amp and crown ic 150 preamp.and 4 radio shack mach 1,s{remember those}definitly the weakest link. pioneer rt707 reel to reel,technics245dbx deck.anyway at the time i read alot form all manufacters and seen a catalog of ev 36in woofer they were over $700 at the time.well now i got the jbl,s and a pair of 4b,s bryston brighed.has anyone found or heard of these.if so please repley.i know it,s alittel over the top but hey that,s me.thanks

A few months ago there was a pair of the 36" woofers for sale on ebay,they were new in the box but after so many years sitting on the shelf the surrounds went to dust & needed replacing,i cant remember the final selling price but it was well over $1,000 plus the cost of rebuilding the surrounds.

I'd be very leary of buying them,they are a very unusual size woofer & chances are that you'd have a heck of a time finding a speaker rebuilder that could get that size surround.
