Hello All

Maybe a dumb question, but can someone direct me to a link or post where I can view what DVD's have these "newer" audio codecs on them?

thanks!

DTS 96/24 is a music only format as far as I know. It is pretty rare and I've never seen it on a video DVD (movie). DTS Neo:6 is a matrix surround sound format that takes a stereo signal and converts it to 5.1 or 6.1 surround sound. It is not a technology that is inherently on a disc. Receivers / preamps have this technology (or maybe source components if they have analog outputs).

To see what movies are in DTS ES, go to this link and put in what option you want under technology:

I can't find a good link to DD EX movies, but I'm sure someone will have one.

You can also upconvert 5.1 DD and DTS sources into a matrixed 6.1 surround. It works fairly well.

NEO:6 is a DSP, not a format.

This lists EX and ES (discrete and matrix) titles:
