What a train wreck. Trailer made it look good, but I think the trailer was better than the movie.... Slow, uninvolving, and what should have been a simple story to tell was simply difficult to follow for most of the movie - it doesn't seem to really tell you what the movie is about until you get to over an hour in and yet it still doesn't have enough to keep the viewer involved IMO. We kept watching, waiting for something interesting to happen. It does have a few moments, but not enough to make it worth it.

My GF wanted to see it when it was in the theaters. A sign of a bad movie is when the title ends up being a side story. It was a overly acted train-wreck of a movie. It was almost like the actress that played the rich mother knew the movie was bad and purposely over-acted her part to give the audience something to enjoy. We both disliked it. I may watch it again when it comes on HBO or cable, but I'm not paying for it on DVD.

The crazy mom was one of the more interesting parts  Sheer insanity; and that is sad because that was only a few minutes. ALL of the parts were over acted at some point, which was disappointing.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I was very into the movie for its entire length. It was indeed tough to follow, especially at the beginning. There was a *lot* of dialog involving specific people and names that seemed important to the plot, but there were so many names it was hard to follow just who they were talking about. I managed, though, by paying attention.. and it paid off.

I didn't find it hard to keep track of the names or the plot (what there was of it), it was the convoluted story and less than stellar acting that made it really suffer for me.

I just watched this last night. I think i liked it a little more than most of you seem to but you have to admit, that earthquake scene was COOL. It started out as a deep drone, you sensed something sinister was about to happen, then gradually shook the house. Just an outstanding effect!

What it had to do with the rest of the movie i'm not sure.

My wife and I saw this one in the theater and I want my $20 back. I just think the writters didn't know where they wanted to go or what to focus on really.

Saw it last night and kind-of liked it. After reading what everyone said I wasnt expecting much so that may account for it.
