Hey,
Anyone else on these boards addicted to these shows? I can't stop watching them. I mainly watch CSI: Miami, and a bit of CSI: Vegas, but I prefer the characters in Miami.
From speaking with others who watch CSI, they all seem to hate Miami. Whats up with that? Is it Horatio? He's got so many sweet 1 liners in that show. On Youtube theres a 7 minute long compilation of his lines before the beginning credits.

Hey Sheep,
My wife and I regularly watch Miami CSI, since we live here. I think people are turned off by Horatio's one line responses to just about everything. Also what's up with his bent neck?, it's always cocked to one side. The show is much "smarter" than Miami Vice, though I must admit MV was closer to what Miami was like in the early 80s (actually Miami was worse). I like the cinematography, the faked blue skies and ocean shots, it's so filtered. As for show content the stories are getting a bit long in the tooth, terrorists in Miami? Only to soak up South Beach sun and nightlife!:D

Yup Sheep, its the one-liners, thanks for the link, I could only take one minute and twenty seven seconds of it. I do like all the other characters though, not as two dimensional as Caine.

CSI Miami is the sh*t. I love Horatio Caine. He is so 2 dimensional he could only exist on TV. I also like the overdone overly contrasted colors.:D

I like Miami the best, cause H is always focused on families, etc... helping the victims. Makes for good, intense story lines.
But the thing that people probably hate is that he's like the Captain Kirk of TV drama... every line is delivered like it's the most important thing ever spoken in the history of the world:
Horatio: I've got to go.... to the bathroom.... You stay here.... I'll be.... right back...

If it wasn't for the science-fiction crimefighting they do I might be interested. I got so tired of every single case hinged upon, usually at the 37minute mark, a bad picture, taken with a digital camera; in which the bad guy is nothing but a pixel or three, then magically the computer can take said pixel and create a portrait that would put every wedding photographer on earth out of business.
That and the 30 second DNA test. (A real test can take what now, 16 weeks?)

Haha.
"Oh, I've got to *puts glasses on* empty the dishwasher now."
RNRN,
Yeah, thats the hardest part to get around.
"We've got a finger print. Look, I matched it to this one, we have in our database. It seems everyone we put away, is out again, commiting crimes."

CSI entertains me greatly. I laugh every time I see their "crime lab" where things are are lit in a "dramatic manner". At least other shows like Law and Order aren't that overdone...

Whats scary, is the crime labs in CSI are better equipped then REAL labs.

Well at least they've only got Hummers, Tubbs and Crockett had a fake Daytona Spyder and a real Testarossa. You know the budgets were a trifle different with all that coke and all.:D
