I will be moving into my new house this December and Im running into a bit of an issue with my home theatre setup. Due to the layout of the room, I will need to put my lcd/plasma above the fireplace and set my klipsch klf-20's on either side (too big to put in walls and black grills wouldnt look good with brown/chocolate room). I also have a KLF-C7 (BIG) for a center channel which could pose a problem as it is rather large and the tv might be too high if I mount it above the center channel.
The other/main issue I have is that I cant think of a way to hide cables/receiver/tivo/xbox/dish etc without spending a considerable amount to have cabinets or shelves built in. I dont think a free-standing cabinet would look good because for 1) it would only be on one side, and there would be nothing to offset it on the opposite side which IMO would leave something to be desired aesthetically speaking.
my girlfriend has agreed to my home theatre as long as it looks good from her perspective so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Pics of setups (with a fireplace involved) would be great. Also please feel free to suggest any cabinets/stands that would solve my problem.
