DVD player n Reciever position?

I was wondering if its possible to place your dvd player and receiver on top of your subwoofer? As in, will the vibrations ruin any quality or anything else?

Placing equipment on top of the subwoofer is not a good idea
Especially if your subwoofer resonates allot and you should never
Stack components on your receiver It dissipates heat out through the top and sides of the cover and heat rises the heat can kill your receiver and DVD player
