looking for the "best" sub $1000 speaker system that uses small, bose cube- sized speakers.
It's not for me personally, but I noticed a member on a car forum i belong to was going to go with Bose Acoustimass 10 Series IV & i promptly questioned him about it. I told him that you can get better sounding speakers than bose & still maintain a small size
So go ahead & recommend away :)

Try this setup. Bass makes a good HT setup, and you won't be lacking any bass with this deal. The Orbs are funny looking Sheepster, and the sub is pathetic.

I second the Hsu... with the VTF-2 MK 2 sub upgrade.....
To go up a notch .. and not quite bookshelfs - but that SVS package is pretty darn hard to beat at the price.....
