can anyone tell me any true 1080p lcd flat panels (ones that can accept 1080p signals) for 2000-3000$cad 40-42 inches

40" - Sony XBR2... you can get it for $3K. The XBR2 only differes from the XBR3 in color.
37" - Sharp LC37D90U... you can get it for $2K.
The Sony is better, but the Sharp is a great value.

I believe the Westinghouse 42" model would fit the bill very well also.

i dindnt have much luck with the 42in westy(lots of dead pixels,wierd power bug)

With the Westinghouse, you must have gotten a bad unit. I've had mine for about 4 months now and it's perfect from the P to the T. I have the 1.16 version and I'm waiting on the new program to take care of the power problem, but it's not that big of a deal anyway. The picture quality is great, you probably know already. If I were you and I wasn't in a time crunch, I'd do some research for a while and come to a good decision. Hey, the longer you wait, the newer the technology. And the models already out will come down in price. Good luck whatever you choose.
