Remote control not working

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place. My URC-100 remote is not working. It just displays "Empty" on the little screen. Does anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks.

First try a fresh set of batteries and then perhaps follow the instructions in the manual (you can get it from the universal remote website) to reset to factory defaults.

Thank you, MDS. I put in new batteries and even slapped it around a bit. But no luck. There is nothing in the manual that deals with this problem. Someone else suggested that I have to send it to Universal to have the ROM refresh :mad: . Do you have a link to the page that deals with resetting the remote? I can't find it.
