The Logitech Z-10 Interactive 2.0 Speaker System features a new design with built-in touch-sensitive controls and a backlighted display that shows digital-music track information, a clock, volume and more from the PC. By putting touch-sensitive controls on the face of the Z-10 speakers, Logitech has eliminated the need for people to toggle between applications to control their music on their computer monitor. These speakers are apparently meant to be touched, seen and heard.

AH, they're starting to learn.

I heard the Creative alternative (http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=28&product=14299) of these today. They seem of decent quality. Woven Glass woofers, textile dome tweeters, and with enough space, they sounded very good. Obviously, the bass was lacking, but thats where my point of this post comes into play.

If they take Speakers of THIS quality, and put them into a 2.1 system, it would hands down be the best one on the market. It's not hard, and it would sell like hot cakes, but it seems to be very hard to put the 2 designs together.

There are some great budget speakers out there too, like the Logitech X230's and X530's.

Yep, CL is really proving themselves as of late. Maybe their acquisition of Cambridge Soundworks is starting to pay off.

I'm hoping they would make a larger set of speakers sometime. It would be interesting to see them make a set of 5-1/4" two way monitors :D

You already have 2.1 computer speakers of top notch quality, the Klipsch iFi 2.1 system.
