let me start off by telling you what receiver i have pioneer 1015tx 120w per channel....now the speakers i want ...because they are on sale ..is the Polk audio R50s the center csi25 and the R15 rears..i thought this would be a good match ,,but while reading the specs the front speakers and rear speakers are 8 ohm and the center is 4 ohm nominal...my reciever says to use 4-6 ohm speakers...is that goin to make a big diff on sound and what about mixing those speakers with diff ohms....i dont know to much about the technical stuff on speaker ohms and frequencies...all i know is i have a decent reciever and a klipsch subwoofer ..and i want some great sounding speakers to match...the R50s wont be on sale for long so any help is appreciated...this set up is for my dvds and video games.

then look on audiogon and get demos or used and save a bundle. you can get twice the quality for half the price that way. remember it is better to go upscale then to trade later to do it.

1st off you did not mention your budget, I would spend my money on klipsch...or if you have a little more money to spend would be paradigm or definitive T.... but as for budget i would go with Bic Acoustech... here's the link that i see it on sale for pretty cheap for the whole set...

You should be fine, though if possible you might consider the CS1 center instead. FYI, 4 ohm loads are harder on the receiver than 8 ohm loads.

why do you suggest the cs1 for the center over the csi25 cause its newer ..or is it 8 ohm aswell...and no i didnt know the 4 ohm was harder on the reciever ..and why does the reciever then suggest using 4-6 ohm speakers?
