OK wow im confused. I am new to car audio. I got a Jl Audio w7 13.5" 1000w rms seen here (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=10) i got this from my brother for cheap so for the time being im looking for a cheap amp to power it. I was looking at either a MB Quart Raa1000 (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=359)
or a hifonics BXII-1606d (http://www.millionbuy.com/hifbxi1606d.html) to power it. Now the sub says its a 1.5omh so i figured a 1 ohm stable amp will run it fine but im being told that with that amp it will be running at ,75 ohm?

Now im confused, does anyone here no wether either one of these amps will run this sub? thanks

Either should be fine, but I know for a fact that JL audio will be happy to answer your email directly. Here's the link to their email listing. The person you email is dependent on where you live.

BTW, nice sub! Those are BEASTS! And they deliver very high quality sound.

I love those guys. I post on a car audio forum in the home audio section, and I can't get enough of these dolts. :D

I know i just registered there like 3 days ago and as soon as i get this one question answered im done, there is more drama and *****ing on that forum than on a girls highschool softball team. Its pathetic, they make fun of me because i dont know and 90% of them have systems that would make me wanna crash my car into a wall to make it stop. whatever this place rules tho :)

its a dual 1.5 ohm voice coil sub, so you would need an amp thats stable down to .75 ohms, or that puts out a lot of power at 3 ohms. Check out the Elemental Designs amps, I think their largest amp could do .75 ohms, but check with them first.
