How to inbed speaker wire in drywall

Does anybody have a good method for trenching drywall to install speaker wire and component cables.

Trenching? I would think it makes a lot more sense to simply run them behind the wall. Take them down into the basement or up into the attic, then over where you need them and run them back down.

In my old setup, I ran them out into my garage, then back in at the equipment location.

You can use flat speaker wire and paint right over it:

You don't want to trench the drywall for video cables, you would be better off fishing them through the wall. Look here for tips on fishing wire:

I posted this a long time ago but thought I'd repeat it here: a surprisingly attractive solution for hiding or disguising surface wiring is to sew a tube (or tubes) of fabric that is the same as or coordinates with your drapes or upholsery, and run the wires thru that with the cloth tube attached somehow to the wall. Of course, you or someone you know has to know some basic sewing!

I saw it done in a "designer show house" years back to hide AC cords going to wall and ceiling mounted light fixtures in an older home with wet plaster walls and it looked good in rooms with traditional decor (not modern).

Might also have a high WAF, especially if your rig will be in a multi-purpose room.
