Hum from Philips tv in HT

I hv Yamaha home theater & philips projection TV. When i just use yamaha home theater with subwoofer, it works ok, no hum. I use only philips projection Tv with built in speakers there is no hum. But when i connect preout from philips TV to Yamaha amplifier input then hum starts from speakers & subwoofer. I then made one small RCA to RCA cable with nonpolar condensor in path of earth & signal. But not able to get rid of hum. Guide me

I got hint from ur question. I put two condesors in series with cable input cable & problem was solved.
