From Tape to mp3/wav

Hello.

I was wondering if there's a specific type of audio cable i need to convert from Tape/Stereo to Mp3/wav.

I browsed around for some cables and noticed some different types; for instance, Mono-mono, mono-stereo, stereo-stereo, etc...

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Going from tape-out to line-in on your soundcard? You need a cable with the standard 2 RCA jacks (white/red) on one end and a 1/8" STEREO mini plug on the other.

Radio Shack sells such cables already pre-made.
