I am looking to purchase a set of speakers from the paradigm monitor series. I simply need to know where is the cheapest place to purchase? I would prefer not to buy used, I would purchase online, and I live in NY.

There are no authorized online dealers of Paradigm.

As already posted (don't know why it needs to be reiterated), Paradigm does not sell their gear online nor below msrp unless an authorized dealer is hosting an authorized sale. That being said, I've never paid msrp for any of my Paradigm speakers (Studio 100 v3, CC570, ADP-470, Atom v3, Servo-15, ADP-170, etc). Our local dealer (Audio Craft in NE Ohio) holds a twice-yearly "buy one speaker, get one half price" sale that I regularly take advantage of. I saved about $600 on my Studio 100s, and took advantage of "factory authorized" savings on all of my other speaker purchases. I also snagged an Anthem MCA-20 (225 wpc manufactured by Paradigm) amp for about $300 under msrp during one of their sales. The key is finding a reputable dealer that has some clout and can offer competitive pricing on otherwise price-locked gear.

I really don't understand all the confusion. Here's a link to an online authorized retailer (where he can get a good price), which is all he asked for:

The B&M stores in my are (greater Boston) are willing to negotiate price on Paradigm speakers. At least they were when I bought my system five years ago.

Yeah, I've had the same experience with Paradigm/Paradigm dealers. The dealer was always willing to work with me on price, especially as you move up the Paradigm line (higher price tag = more discount). I'd check with a local shop and see what they're willing to do for you.

If you are willing to buy used, check out audiogon.com. For example, the Paradigm Studio sell for over $800 new and you should be able to find a lightly used pair for $4-500. As stated above, there are not "authorized" sellers.
Also, most B&M dealers will give you a better price if you are willing to buy an entire system vs. just a couple speakers.

How true, the more you buy, the more you can save :D
