Why is their lack of portability a "CON" as the review noted? Are they advertised as such?

Can anybody compare with the Swan M200?

Wow! better than Paradigm Atoms. That's something. Though mine are in the closet at the moment they are great little speakers. I always recommend them for a budget system when asked.

Yes and no I guess. Considering the iPod is a portable device any accessory for it really should be portable or at the very least, easy to transport. Don't get me wrong though, it is a very minor thing. This is a GREAT product either way and hard to fault at all.

Since the Audioholics review didn't include measurements (strange, since usually they are included), here are the measurements:

http://www.hometheatermag.com/ipodaccessories/1106audioengine/index2.html

The manufacturer claims 50-22KHz +/- 1.5db, but it looks like it's closer to 50-20KHz +/- 5.5-6.5db. As I figured, since those specs were a bit too generous for a 5" midbass driver. Even the Ascend 170SE (a 6.5" midbass driver) only manages to fall within the +/- 3db spec from 50-20KHz. A little to overzealous with the numbers.
