Vintage speakers for surrounds?

I was just wondering how an old set of say AR 3As or JBL L150As would sound if used in a home theater. If you used one of those sets as fronts, what could you use for other channels.

The biggest problem there is you'll not have matching timber from your speakers....which some argue its not as big a deal from the surrounds and no deal at all with the low freq. sub...but you'll notice it between whatever center channel you choose to go with your front l/r towers.
