If country...
...was more popular I'd say Ms. Pickler...she seems quite comfortable in the genre...
Notwithstanding the John Denver travesty of the other night...I'm rooting for Taylor as I prefer his voice, delivery and his atypical appearance...Country Roads? bad song choice IMO...I think he may be more flexible, style-wise...Given his sorta' Ray Charles/Joe Cocker delivery, a reworking (to differentiate it from Ray Charles" version) of Don Gibson's "I Can't Stop Loving You" would have brought the house down, I think.
The other guys, well one sounds too much like a hard-rocker (although his retooling of JCs "I Walk The Line" was interesting)...one's a good ol'boy wannabe (without the chops)...one has the nasality of a boy-band singer(nyah, nyah, nyah)...and the other has that tremolo affectation which plain doesn't work on many things and he has to fight to keep it under control...quite evident the other night...
For her age Paris is quite good and Katherine is just so-so...
Other than his complete dislike of country (unless it's guest Kenny Rogers, of course) I tend to agree with Simon more often than not.
jimHJJ(...Queen?...this oughta' be interesting...)
