TV: 50" HD Panasonic TH-50PX500U Plasma
DVD Player: Oppo Digital 971

Both have a video calibration menu. For best results, do I use the one on the DVD player or the TV when calibrating the video to view movies using AVIA or DVI?

I always use the TV's controls.

If you can adjust the settings for each input on the tv, then adjust the tv, otherwise use the settings in the dvd player.
