Last night I spent a couple of hours returning my A/V equipment and furniture to my A/V room after having my wood floors refinished. *This envolved several tiring trips to the basement to rerun the wires for the rear speakers.
After painstakingly rerunning the wiring, dusting, and placing/mounting my 5 Sapphire speakers, I grabbed an old CD to enjoy while finally relaxing on the couch.
I choose something mellow that I don't recall listening to for years, Robbie Robertson's 1990 release.
Robbie Robertson is a great musician and songwriter. *I believe he wrote songs for Peter Gabriel and Bono. *The song "Somewhere Down That Crazy River" contains a bit of spoken story telling, funky-haunting music, and a melodic chorus.
In short, a little bit of heaven for an audiophile; rediscovering old music on my new speakers in a dimly lit room.
