Hello everyone! I am looking to upgrade to one of the new 720p projectors and therefore I am selling my Optoma H-31. I bought the PJ less than a year ago and it has treated me perfectly. I originally bought if from Visual Apex. I only have about 130 hours total!! The PJ is truly in new condition, in a non smoking and well taken-care-of environment. Please PM me if you are interested! The Optoma will do 720p, won't it? You might not need to change the projector. Maybe a video scaler to upconvert your signals.

It will certainly do 720p material but the the resolution is 480. This is perfect for DVD's, since that is the same resolution as DVD material. When I bought the PJ I was watching only movies. Now I am contemplating getting HDTV and so I wanted the added resolution that the 720 PJ's provide. Thanks! Chad

Which projector are you thinking about getting? The HD72 looks good for the money. I've got the same projector as you, right now I'm only doing DVDs and its fine. I know it has a built in scaler so I may decide to switch once BLu-ray and everything comes out. We'll have to see.

I am looking at either the HC3000u or the HD72. I guess it depends on whether I get this sold?!?! I truly am very happy with the PJ for DVD's. Its just that if I am going to HDTV, I thought I would bump up to a higher res PJ. At least that is the plan anyways:D :D :D Chad
