Mirage omnisat v2 versus Focal sib

Has anyone heard these speakers? I am trying to decide between these and mirage v2.

I would go with v2 fs front and satelites. Mirage sub.

Focal sib- Sib xl & Satellites & Cub sub. Price very low. Heard all satelites also from Focal. Great sound. Any thoughts?

i started w/ the focal 5.1 sib & cub2 package & loved them, they sounded great & were only $800, great buy in my opinion

I can’t believe that anyone who has actually heard mirage speakers would even consider buying them. I have not heard the focals, but they have to be better than any product mirage makes. The build quality is terrible, as is the sound. I don't mean to insult anyone, but I went into a local shop last week and I couldn't believe what they were asking for these speakers. They sounded terrible; a pair of $230 BIC speakers are much better.

back in the mid 80's I heard a pair of Mirage SM3s and they were dead on accurate with the most pin point imaging I've ever heard.

Its clear to me from your post that a.) You don't like the sound of omni polar speakers and thats OK,its your ears. and b.) I find that most shops incorrectly setup their speaker systems with respect to placement and crappy rooom acoustics.

I also find that having to mod a pair of speakers is inherently wrong. The design is only half done. Just my opinions and observations

Mirage are very good sounding speakers and a bargain at the price.

Every pair of Focal's I have heard have been outstanding.
