Last year Aperion Audio joined our recommended list by producing a good bang-for-the-buck product with the Intimus 5.1 system (comprised of four 532-LRs a 532-C and S-8 powered subwoofer). This year we wanted to hear what their newer, larger products had to offer in terms of quality and performance.

Thanks for another review! I have an Aperion 5.1 system with the S-12 and have been very happy with it. I am relativly new to home theater and wondered how the Aperion S-12 compared with subwoofers from HSU and SVS in a simmilar price range ($599 - 799).

Thanks,
Taylor

We may follow up later with a more in depth review of that sub. It is very tactile and can play loud, but I was unable to make measurements for the review due to scheduling so we're settling for subjective opinion only for now.

Thanks for the review Clint. I am very interested in the Aperion's and since it is very difficult to actually hear them, your review has helped a lot! It would have been interesting to have used their 633T towers. That is good news on the S-12 sub also. I too am interested in how the S-12 would stack up against the VTF-3 Mk2. Any chance you may be looking at the Radiient speakers any time soon? I will keep posted to these forums, as I intend
to buy a projector, screen, receiver, speaker system and a dvd player within
the next two months. Keep up the great work! Must be tough!:)

Great review on the Aperion Audio 632's. Any idea how these would stack up against another direct to consumer option, the Axiom M22ti's?

Thanks for the review on the aperions, Clint. One thing, though. (sorry to be picky) ... you said the S-12 is 50-1/2" high. That makes for a pretty hefty sub. ;)
