Last spring I was in a pawn shop shifting through junking hoping to find a processor. Instead I ran across a pair of monstorous speakers that looked quite nice. I took the grill off and the drivers looked perfect, from what I remember it was a 3 way with at least a 10 or 12 inch sub. I then noticed a little plaque that read Home Theater by Paramount Pictures. That sparked my interest and I probably should have bought them but I had no space at the time.

Has anyone else seen or heard Paramount Speakers? I would assume they were from the early 90's and from my knowledge Paramount doesnt make them anymore. I cant find any info anywhere, although there maybe an article on them in an old sterophile or somthing. I did a search on ebay and I did find this.

Obviously this is at least 10 years old but still cool. Did paramount have a deal with a major electronics company at one time or did they make there stuff indepently?

Sorry for the long spill, I'm just curious.

It's probably just some old studio gear used for a screening room. They might of had a deal with an electronics firm and they put Paramounts name on them.

The projection booth I work in has our companies name on all the amps due to the fact we used them exclusively. But the where just normal QSC amps. I have seen this on various other equiment as well such as lamphouses.

Just a guess though. Studios like there name on everything.
