...but would you recommend it?

yes I would. this might be a useless recommendation since I like the first one too (so im pretty much a fan) the movie opened today ... I went straight there :)
the seemingly big loophole is answered in this movie (e.g. Viktor being the "oldest and strongest" as mentioned in the first movie and then Marcus being the "first true vampire" in the trailer)

i rate the movie equal to the first one (if not slightly better)
because the first one had more story ... this one had more action

I've heard it has, um, more Kate. I must see it!:D

My kind of genre, but I didn't think the first one had much going for it besides Kate. I was expecting something with a little more kick to it and I thought it could have been better. Not bad, but not great either (though I do own the extended edition ;) ), and I'll defiitely be going to see the new one in theaters too.

I've watched Kate in some other movies and I must say that the black leather bodysuit seems to add more personality! ;)

I liked her better in Van Helsing. She's done one other partial nude scene in some movie (that I don't know the name of)...

well, its better to go into the movie with low expectations ... than a hyped up one. it IS a sequel.

I've got the extended edition too (but mine is called "unrated edition" i think)
its not like she has a lot to show ... I like the cat suit anyway (especially in this one)

Yeah, whatever it was, the longer one with 2 discs. I hate to say it, but nothing that was added actually added anything to the movie, IMO.

Well I saw this tonight and I wish I had my 10 bucks back... Yes there was definitely more Kate, but I think that was only added in to keep people from walking out. It was so rediculous it wasn't even really fun. It also sets up for another movie, which almost always pisses me off!

On a side note, there was a blonde in there that was so gorgeous, that when everyone was leaving the theater is was silent because everyone was staring in shock. Girls this good looking do not come to Elk Grove, CA, it is something we have all accepted. But YIKES, I wish I would have had my camera with me!

I now know why I like this and xmen2 better than the first movies.
more violence. i like violence.
i'd like to see a wolverine - underworld (or at least vampires) crossover movie.

I can't wait to see this one. I am so geeked on the "Underworld" franchise I read the novelization of "Evolution" just because.

I liked it. It was a typical dark-action-popcorn flick. Entertaining; enough action and just enough story so that it didn't completely fall apart. My only complaint is how much time they spent on recapping the first movie.

Yup...I enjoyed it and so did the wife. Not the greatest movie, but its about werewolves AND vampires...what do ya expect? :) Overall, a fun movie that I'd consider buying on whatever next-gen dvd format comes out.
