I get a "Boom" sound from my speakers when i change the menu in the DVD player

hi....hope someone can help me with the problem i have. I just setup my 5.1 home theater system( JVC RX-D402B reciever, JBL Northridge series speakers). All was fine until today, i hear a "boom" sound from my sorrounds, sub-woofer and mains when i switch menu in my DVD player. I dont know why this is happening? Has someone faced this issue. PLease Help Me!!!

Someone on the Hsu Forum (http://www.hsuresearch.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1222&highlight=pioneer) had a similar problem with his setup. Check through it and see if this helps.
